SALIBA SCORES FIRST ARSENAL GOAL

Frenchman William Saliba has been impressive for Arsenal since he returned to the club this summer on the back of his loan spell at Marseille in the French top flight. The centre back is expected to be part of the France squad to the World Cup 2022 tournament on Qatari soil without any doubt if he continues to perform well for the Gunners. France are the defending champions ahead of the World Cup 2022 tournament in Qatar. Also, they are one of the favourites to win the tournament. The top four favourites to win the World Cup 2022 tournament are Brazil, France, England and Argentina.

Saliba has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season. He scored his first goal for Arsenal during the big win over newly promoted team Bournemouth in the Premier League last week. The French international was one of the goalscorers as Arsenal secured top spot on the league table by beating hosts Bournemouth 3-0.

New Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard scored a brace in six first half minutes before the result was sealed with a spectacular goal from Saliba nine minutes into the second half. Odegaard scored the first goal of the game on five minutes from close range after Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers saved a Gabriel Martinelli shot. The Norwegian playmaker added the second goal on 11 minutes off the assist from the impressive Gabriel Jesus who was involved in the buildup to the first goal. Saliba scored his second goal as a professional footballer to seal the result for his team in the second half. He had scored his first professional goal while on loan at OGC Nice in the French league two seasons ago.

Arsenal are the only team to win all their three league games in the Premier League this season after the third batch of games ended on Monday.
