Nigeria plan to convince Victor Moses to unretire from international duty

The second vice-president of the Nigeria Football Federation Shehu Dikko has suggested that they are expected to meet up with Victor Moses in an attempt to convince him to return to international football. The Chelsea ace retired from Nigerian duty in mid-August citing family and career concerns but things have since not gone smoothly for the 27-year-old.

Moses was a regular under Antonio Conte last term where he was pretty much a constant in the right wing-back position but he has not enjoyed a similar run with new boss Maurizio Sarri, who has ditched the 3-4-3 formation to go with the orthodox four-man defence. As such, Moses has managed just one start across all competitions with Sarri only regarding him as a winger but Shehu believes the decision does not disregard the qualities of the former Wigan Athletic star.
